Each year the Band Contest is enjoyed by the majority of Heyrod's residents, whilst the advance organisation and support on the night is provided by comparatively few.

We are asking for volunteers to help with some of the duties at the event. This help may be with traffic control around the coaches parking on Wakefield road, booking in the Bands, helping with the bar or food, collecting bottles & glasses – you’ll be asked to perform the duty for about 30 minutes, and if more people volunteer this could be even less.

So, come on and join in and make the Heyrod Band Contest a night to remember (that does depend on how much you drink!!)
