In its hey days the association raised lots of funds and arranged daily community events in the hall and was the venue for the annual Brass Band Contest, ( this is still the case today)

The organisation today is still open to all the villagers and still raises funds to run community events the biggest one of the year being the annual bonfire party and fireworks display. The band contest whilst held at the hall is run by a separate committee working together with the HRA to ensure a great event.

Today the committee of the association maintain the status of the Hall which is a charitable trust and its only income is self generated. Association volunteers run the functions which are held at the Hall and range from Wedding Receptions , birthday parties for adults, teenagers and toddlers and shows.
The association also represents the villagers on issues with the local district assembly and police, and try to maintain the presevation of the village atmosphere and ethos.

There is a quaterly newsletter which is distributed to all the houses in the village by the HRA outling local issues and actions and also promoting community events at the hall. At the hall you can take part in gymnastics, dance of all descriptions including belly and burlesque!!! Keep fit, craft classes. Tai chi and there is a weekly mums and tots group for villagers and the surrounding area.

Currently the HRA are pursuing a village green application to preserve an area used for outdoor activities for years, this application is in its final stages as we go to press. The associations meets on the first Monday of the month at the hall and all are welcome.
